Forgotten wisdom

Most of us have an internal wisdom that we cannot remember where or when we learned. It is like being in nature, I forget what it is like to listen to the sound of wind in the leaves, and the birds and the insects, and to listen only to that, but when I do, it is always familiar and already known…

Most of my cooking is simple wisdom that is forgotten in the distractions of life.
When I am less distracted I eat better. That is, I remember to soak beans for sprouting or cooking, I remember to make a salad before I am hungry and just eat whatever is around, usually cooked leftovers… and I remember how make things that I already knew how to make.
